Mother Theresa History

The patron of the Mother Theresa Welfare Foundation of India, Mother Teresa was admired all around the world for her charitable work. Born on 26th August, 1910 in Skopje, North Macedonia, she was a Roman Catholic nun and missionary. She founded the Missionaries of Charity and dedicated her life to serving the poor and caring for the needy.

She is the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize and inspired the world with her selfless charities.  Devoting her life to serve the sick and poor, she established a hospital, old-age homes, homes for the disabled, etc. Her humanitarian work is recognized around the world and she is held in high regard for her peaceful and caring ways. She died on 5th September, 1997, but her services continue to live on through several charities. She has inspired the Founder of the Mother Theresa Welfare Foundation of India, Kishore Kumar to start his own charity and serve all those in need.
